Dutch Customs ranked 1st in trade facilitation worldwide

When it comes to facilitating international trade and logistics, Dutch Customs is doing exceptionally well. This is evident from the annual report of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). In the ranking of this organization, Dutch Customs is ranked first worldwide.

The high ranking is mainly attributed to the successful implementation of various UNECE measures to promote cross-border trade. Dutch Customs applies almost all of these measures (97.85%). This aligns with the Dutch goal of achieving more efficiency and sustainability in international trade.

Simplifying and speeding up trade The UNECE report particularly praises the Dutch efforts for clearer rules, simple administrative processes, and online communication capabilities. This contributes to simplifying and speeding up trade between countries.

The UNECE aims to promote economic integration among European countries. The organization has 56 European member countries, as well as countries from North America and Asia.
